The RIMCO RIM7499 range of siphon controlled tipping bucket rain gauges are professional instruments designed and constructed for long-term operation with minimal maintenance under all climatic conditions. All materials are corrosion resistant. These proven instruments are accurate to within 1% for rainfall rates up to 200mm/hr and 3% up to 380mm/hr.
This rain gauge can be used for several applications, such as general meteorology, hydrology, flood warning systems, remote and long-term logging deployments.
RIM-7499-STD Rain Gauge
The RIM-7499-STD (standard) comes with a lower specification funnel and calibration than the RIM-7499-BOM (Bureau Of Meteorology) version. The STD version is ultimately the ideal low-cost alternative to the BOM version. The lower cost RIM-7499-STD can however, be ordered with the higher specification 1% BOM calibration.
RIM-7499-BOM Rain Gauge
The RIM-7499-BOM comes with a higher specification funnel and calibration than the RIM-7499-STD standard version. RIMCO RIM-7499-BOM rain gauges are specifically manufactured to stringent requirements including those of the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, the Environment Agency (UK) and the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI).
RIM-7499-UK Rain Gauge
The RIM-7499-UK comes with a higher specification funneland calibration than the RIM-7499-STD standard version. RIMCO RIM-7499-UK rain gauges are specifically manufactured to stringent requirements for the UK Environment Agency, the British Meteorological Office and the Scottish EPA. It is made of materials designed for long and consistent deployments of 10 years or more in the hardest environments.
