The EXO series is the successor of the popular 6-series from YSI. The EXO-S series is identical to the original EXO series of water quality sondes, except that they are much shorter, lighter and more affordable. This has been achieved by leaving out the battery compartment. The EXO-S uses the same sensors and accessories as the EXO sonde. They are fully compatible, except for the batteries.
The EXO3 / EXO3-S sonde has ports for 5 sensors (or 4 with a central wiper). It is rated to a depth of 250 meters.
