Observator Instruments is pleased to announce that the first HMS 2.0 systems have been delivered. The new information system for monitoring meteorological conditions on helicopter landing platforms was launched by Observator earlier this year. Observator has delivered many HMS-systems over the past decades on many different helicopter landing platforms worldwide (on (naval) vessels, platforms, buildings, heliports, windfarms, etc.).

HMS 2.0 – Meteolink

Compared with its precursor, HMS 2.0 has a compact design and is based on the Observator OIC (MeteoLink)-principle –also recently introduced by Observator-, which means a lower cost of ownership and reduced cabling during installation. MeteoLink offers the possibility to link different sensors together in one combined output ‘string’, containing measurements and sensor specific information. The new central unit can be easily fitted in a 19”rack (height is only 3HE) and the sensors can be connected directly to the PC.

Compliant

The system is compliant to high-demanding requirements as CAP-437 (issued by the UK CAA), Norwegian Norsok, Brasilian Normam-27 and HCA-requirements.

The first systems passed the Factory Acceptance Tests successfully and are waiting to be installed and commissioned during the coming weeks.
